After using Wood Butter your old wooden pottery tools or kitchen utensils they will look brand new and have a buttery smooth surface! In fact you can use this balanced mixture of beeswax, food grade mineral oil, and pleasant essential oil to finish or rejuvenate your wooden pottery tools, wooden kitchen utensils and cutting boards, or any other wooden items.
Simply rub a small portion directly into the wood grain using your fingers and wipe away any excess after a short period of time using a rag or microfiber cloth.
Because it is safe for skin contact and doesn't leave a sticky residue like most wood oils, urethanes, and other finishes, applying it with your hands has the added benefit of being great for your skin due to the beeswax!
2oz containers available in lemon and tangerine scents. The scent is more for your hands and a pleasant working experience as it only lingers on the wood for a short time before it is replaced by the wood's natural scent.

Great company, great customer service. Love the products would recommend them to friends
Why did I not order this sooner.
I just received my first order of wood butter. After cleaning I my wooden pottery ribs I slathered the wood butter all over them and let them dry for a while. The product soaked in and restored my ribs nicely. I will continue to this to keep my wood tools In god condition.
Perfect solution to keep my wooden tools looking like needles
Thank you! Smells pleasant, but not overwhelming. Just a nice natural scent.
Looking forward to using it.
About Us
Stoic Clay Tools is just the two of us, Brett and Rachel, working together in a small workshop in Upstate SC. When we made our first batch of tools in 2023 we realized how much we enjoyed designing and shaping pieces with the same attention to detail that potters bring to their own work. Since then we have come a long way, making thousands of ribs for hundreds of potters in the US and around the world. We are extremely grateful for every potter who chooses what we make to become part of their own process.
